Another notable achievement of Mo Abudu is The Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park which was commissioned in August 2004.
The Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park, situated along the Lekki Expressway is the first new build hotel of its type ever in Nigeria.
The Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park is set on over 1 hectare of land, with several purpose-built facilities which include:
|

| |
A specialist executive centre with 10 training rooms, 12 syndicate rooms equipped with state-of-the-art training and conference facilities, which can comfortably seat between 10–300 delegates.
A hotel complex of 65 rooms, comprising standard twin and queen size rooms and 3 king size suites.
A 120-seater state-of-the-art restaurant.
Leisure facilities that include a gym, swimming pool, sauna and elaborate aesthetically pleasing landscaped areas.
Mo’s concept for the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park from day one was to build a modern complex that provides world-class services to meet the ever dynamic needs of modern professionals, who require the serenity of a suburban location that is well equipped with dedicated training and conference facilities as well as the luxurious comfort of executive accommodation and leisure. The flexibility achieved in ensuring that all these needs are actually met is the key element of both the program and design of the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park.
Prior to sourcing for additional investors to get the project started, the responsibility for identifying and acquiring the location, the design of the facility, obtaining governor’s consent, obtaining planning approval, sourcing for a well respected Hotel Group to manage the complex all rested on the shoulders of Mo Abudu.
Today, the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park plays host to serious corporate events, conferences, workshops and training programs. |
