Young Designers Of The Year  In recognition of the talent of young amateur fashion designers around Africa, the MOMENTS WITH MO: YOUNG DESIGNER OF THE YEAR CONTEST has been created by Moments with Mo under the aegis of Inspire Africa Productions.
The contest is designed to celebrate the individuality, diversity and creativity of talented African youths by encouraging them to showcase their talent/work. The contest is an effective platform for launching these new faces into the fashion industry and the public.
After a series of auditions, fifteen (15) short listed young designers will take part in the grand finale where they will have the unique opportunity to display a selection of their design work on the runway at a fashion show that will be organized exclusively for them.
So … do you have what it takes to be the Moments with Mo: Young Designer of the Year? If you think you do, then go ahead and select the category that will best interpret your design work and send in 10 sketches in colour with a short write-up describing what each piece and what inspired it.
The selection of amazing prizes to be won includes:
- Opportunities to work with well known designers
- A return ticket to London courtesy Virgin Nigeria, one of our sponsors
- Cash prizes ranging from $1000 to $3000

- Lingerie
- Evening wear
- Casual wear
- National wear (ethnic designs)
